Michael Pfeiffer, Paloma Valley High School (PVHS) Athletic Director, is requesting the Board’s ratification for two of the PVHS wrestling team members to attend the 2018 CIF Wrestling Masters, in Bakersfield, California, March 1-4, 2018.
On Saturday, February 24, 2018, one of the wrestling members from PVHS competed at a regional wrestling tournament and won his way onto the 2018 CIF Wrestling Championships. The CIF championships were held at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California, on March 2-3, 2018. In order to participate in this event, students needed to qualify with high marks in a statewide ranking during the school year’s wrestling events.
The two students and three coaches attended the 2018 CIF Wrestling Masters, in Bakersfield. Transportation was be provided via a District vehicle. The conference entry fees, transportation costs, and lodging costs will be paid from PVHS Associated Student Body funds.
This item is coming to the Board of Trustees for ratification due to the fact that Mr. Pfeiffer was notified that the student qualified to compete after the close of the February 21, 2018 agenda timeline.
