Amanda Darton, Math TOSA/Instructional Coach for the Perris Union High School District, has submitted a new course titled Math 8 Essentials for eighth grade students.
Math 8 Essentials will provide focused instructional time on the Essential Standards identified from the California Common Core Math 8 Standards, while formalizing and extending the mathematics learned in previous grades. This course will include standard from the following domains:
(1) Geometry
(2) Functions
(3) Expressions and Equations
The Math 8 Essentials course has been approved by the Director of Curriculum & Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees receive for review and consideration, as part of the first reading, the new course: Math 8 Essentials.
