Summary:
|
The Purchasing Department used formal bidding procedures for the Heritage High School Flooring Replacement Project. This project involves the removal of all carpet and Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) flooring, the addition of a vapor barrier, and the replacement of all removed flooring throughout the entire campus at Heritage High School, with the exception of all second floor areas and non-carpet/VCT locations. Responsive Bids were submitted as follows:

Nautilus General Contractors, Incorporated / $2,209,000
The Contract was bid and is being recommended for award pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.
The ratification of the Agreement with Ron Guidry Floor Covering, Incorporated dba Progressive Surfacing is necessary in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this Agreement is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 operating budgets funded through Routine Restricted Maintenance funds, not the General Fund.
