File Attachment:
Summary: In order to create parity among the employee groups at the California Military Institute (CMI), administration is recommending a salary schedule increase for CMI Management employees of 1 percent effective July 1, 2016. This is the same increase as proposed for CMI classified employees. This will apply to the Assistant Principal/Executive Officer positions which are employees of the charter school. The Principal/Commandant is an employee of the District and would therefore be provided the same increases as District Management employees.

Administration is further recommending an increase to the health and welfare contributions for CMI management employees who receive the same health and welfare package as District management employees. This is a proposed increase of $200 for single and 2-party coverage and an increase of $550 for family coverage. This would make the cap for single coverage $11,750, the cap for 2-party coverage $14,200, and the cap for family coverage $17,000. This would apply to Assistant Principal/Executive Officer positions who are charter school employees and to the Principal/Commandant who is a District employee.
Funding: The cost is included in the 2016-17 budget.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the salary increase and the health and welfare cap increase for the California Military Institute management employees as presented.
