Summary:
|
The District would like to enter into a Multi-Year Memorandum of Understanding with California Baptist University (CBU) effective April 1, 2018 through April 30, 2021.
This Memorandum of Understanding gives the District employees reduced tuition rates and in return the District will provide opportunities to CBU to market this tuition discount and related program offerings to our employees via e-mails, posters, brochures, information sessions, staff meetings, and other opportunities deemed appropriate. The District is not responsible for guaranteeing that a certain number of employees avail themselves of this opportunity.
This Memorandum of Understanding is being taken to the Board as a ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from California Baptist University.
Pursuant to California Education Codes 44321 and 44452, a school district Governing Board is authorized to enter into an agreement with a state university or any university or college accredited by the State Board of Education as a teacher education institution in order to provide teaching experience through student teaching to students enrolled in teacher training curricula.
