Summary: The Maintenance Department requests Board authorization to utilize the National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance Piggybackable Contract #R5175 as awarded to AstroTurf for the purchase of the materials for the new football/soccer field turf at Perris High School. The tear-off of the existing turf and installation of the new turf purchased under this piggyback contract will be bid separately and brought to the Board for approval at a later date.

The total price of the materials is $452,300 which includes the synthetic turf, brock pad, geotextile fabric, inlaid markings, logos, lettering, infill, taxes, freight, testing, and warranty.

Legal reference for piggybackable bidding is Public Contract Code 20118.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budget funded through the Routine Restricted Maintenance Fund, Fund 06.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the use of piggybackable contract #R5175 as awarded to AstroTurf for the purchase of the new football/soccer field turf at Perris High School.
