Summary: Joseph Williams, Executive Director of Technology, is requesting that the Board of Trustees approve attendance at the 2018 Education Week Leaders to Learn recognition event in Washington, DC on April 11-12, 2018.

Joseph Williams was selected as a 2017 Education Week Leader to Learn From, a nationwide search of exceptional school district leaders. Mr. Williams has been invited back to participate in the program for 2018 as an alumni.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budget funded through Title 1 Professional Development funding, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the out-of-state conference request for Joseph Williams to attend the 2018 Education Week Leaders to Learn From Recognition Event in Washington, DC on April 11-12, 2018.
