Summary:
|
Perris High School’s agriculture teacher, Douglas Cousins, is requesting Board approval for the Perris High School (PHS) Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the California State FFA State Judging Finals, which will be held at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California, April 30 - May 3, 2020.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is the host to over 20 different FFA Career Development Events at the end of each school year that challenges students in the areas of their interest. Students compete for state titles during this contest. Students will also have the opportunity to tour one of the best agriculture colleges in the country and see multiple programs in agriculture.
This is an overnight field trip of two (2) nights. Approximately twenty-five (25) students and four (4) adult chaperones will be attending the FFA State Finals. Transportation to San Luis Obispo will be provided by using the District and site vehicles.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through Perris High School's Future Farmers of America Associated Student Body Account and the Perkins Grant, not the General Fund.
