Summary:
|
Alison King, Associated Student Body (ASB) Advisor at Paloma Valley High School (PVHS), is submitting an overnight field trip request for sixteen (16) of Paloma Valley High School's Student Council Members and two (2) teachers to attend the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) State Conference in Ontario, California, March 28-30, 2020. This is in conjunction with the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) Conference for the Advisors of Associated Student Body Clubs.
The mission of CASL is to provide a statewide network that facilitates the development of ethical, responsible, and servant leaders. CASL’s initiative is to inspire, equip, and empower students to be effective future leaders of the world. They have invited ASB student leaders to the state conference for three (3) days of inspiration, networking, and learning many ways to lead their campus in a positive direction. Students will hear from world-renowned speakers, choose from a wide variety of over twenty-five (25) effective workshops, attend special program rotations and regional meetings, “Meet the Pro’s” and create their own special State Service Project to pay it forward and give back.
The cost is approximately $7,500.00. Transportation will be provided via a District van.
