Summary:

Cassi Broccardo, Paloma Valley High School (PVHS) Head Pep Squad Coach and Advisor, is respectfully submitting a request for the Paloma Valley High School pep squad members to attend the Cheer and Dance Camp sponsored by the United Spirit Association (USA), at the Great Wolf Lodge in Anaheim, California, July 1-3, 2018.
The objectives for attending this summer camp is to provide comprehensive cheer and dance technical training that leads to safe, fundamentally sound cheer techniques for PVHS pep squad team; to provide a team bonding experience in an effort to promote leadership within the squad which will extend to the student body of PVHS; and, it provides professional development for the coaches.
The PVHS pep squad is excited to have the opportunity for this training which will start their summer training program off with much enthusiasm. The pep squad has been fundraising for this event for team members and the coaches. The cost for the students and coaches to attend the summer camp is $460 per participant. Approximately 60 members of the pep squad and six adult chaperones will be attending the United Spirit Association Summer Camp. The group will be staying in dorm type housing with up to four students per room. Room checks will be done to ensure curfew is met and maintained. All meals are included. Transportation is being provided by each student’s parents or guardians.

The cost for this item is included in the PVHS 2017-18 operating budget funded through the Pep Squad ASB account.
