On March 8, 2016, the Perris Union High School District Maintenance and Facilities Departments retained PJHM Architects to provide professional architectural services for the Human Resources Department Renovation and Remodel Project. This project will include the reconfigurement of the existing HR Department to improve functional employee spaces, customer service areas and will update the fire alarm system. The modernization of this area will update the Human Resources Department to match the previously modernized Boardroom and the Business Services Division areas. The services provided by PJHM Architects include the development of accurate as-built drawings, the preparation of new floor plan options, the development of construction documents and plans for bidding this project as well as the coordination of a color sample board and visits to the project by the architect during construction. Given the change in leadership in HR, this project was put on hold in 2016. The District Maintenance and Facilities Departments requested an update of this proposal from PJHM to include an update to the floor plan as well as including updating the fire alarm system. To continue these services through project completion increases the total estimated cost to $13,000. Education Codes 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.

The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 operating budgets funded through Routine Restricted Maintenance and One-Time Funds, not the General Fund.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the proposal for architectural services with PJHM for the Human Resources Renovation Project.
