Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District requested to receive proposals from qualified school bond opinion research specialists. These services were determined to be required as the District considers placing a local school bond on an upcoming ballot measure. After reviewing the proposals, Timothy McLarney, Ph.D., President of True North Research, Inc. was interviewed and is being recommended to perform this work. In conjunction with the District and TBWB Strategies, the District’s school bond campaign consultant firm, True North Research, Inc. will be responsible for tasks associated with identifying whether a potential bond is feasible and, if yes, how best to
align the bond with community priorities. The main component of the feasibility assessment is a statistically reliable survey of voters. True North Research, Inc. will also process and disaggregate the data as requested by the District, prepare an initial topline report which presents the overall findings of the survey, and prepare a thorough report on the findings, including a detailed question-by-question analysis, description of the methodology, an executive summary of the key findings and conclusions/recommendations, as well as a comprehensive set of crosstabulations showing how the answers varied by subgroups of voters. The cost for these opinion research services will be $26,475.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2017-18 operating budgets funded through the Capital Facilities Fund, Fund 25, proceeds from CFDs 91-1 and 92-1, and the General Fund, Fund 03.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with True North Research, Inc. to provide Opinion Research Services.
