Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken, the facilities project known as the “Perris High School Agricultural Facility Phase 2 Project,” which consists of the construction of a 2 story Agricultural (AG) classroom facility.
During its April 20, 2016 meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Southcoast Acoustical Interiors in the amount of $66,155, for the provision of work associated with acoustical ceilings and insulation in the Perris High School Ag Project. During the construction of the Ag Phase 2 project, the Distrtict Facilities Department has requested a change to a more durable metal ceiling tile that matches ceiling tiles in use on other areas of this project as well as other District facilities. These tiles will be installed in the hallways and some classroom areas and has resulted in Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $14,882.36. Change Order No. 1 for Southcoast Acoustical Interiors has been comprehensively reviewed by the District's Director of Facilities, PJHM Architects and Neff Construction. The cost of this change is to be included in Change Order No. 1 for Southcoast Acoustical Interiors in the amount of $14,882.36. This change order will increase Southcoast Acoustical Interiors contract to $81,037.36.
Change Order No. 1 with Southcoast Acoustical Interiors is necessary in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project.
Education Codes 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
