Summary: The District's Educational Services Department has made recommendations for updates in our district-wide course catalog. When a course is discovered to be outdated or lack sufficient information, then a request is sent to the teacher(s) to update the course. Agricultural Sciences and Systems has been revised to achieve the NGSS goal of ‘All Standards, All Students’ and to meet the A-G requirements for the College Board.

Agricultural Sciences and Systems, previously called Plant and Animal Physiology, will combine an interdisciplinary approach to laboratory science and research with agricultural management principles. Using the skills and principles learned in the course, students design systems and experiments to solve agricultural management issues currently facing the industry. Final projects will be eligible for Career Development Event competition at Future Farmer of America (FFA) events. This course was written for grades nine and ten only and is part of the Agriculture Pathway.

The Agricultural Sciences and Systems course has been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
