Summary:
|
Mr. Rashiid Burgo, California Military Institute Athletic Director, has submitted a request to attend the California State Athletic Directors Association’s (CSADA) Athletic Directors Conference in Reno, Nevada, April 19-21, 2017.
Mr. Burgo feels that it would be advantageous to attend the CSADA conference to hear veteran Athletic Directors and be presented with new ideas to help him become better in his field. He will also be meeting up with the other Athletic Directors from the District's comprehensive high schools. Michael Rhodes, Principal, strongly supports Mr. Burgo attending this conference and being involved in the CSADA organization.
In addition to having the opportunity to attend workshops at the conference for professional growth, Mr. Burgo will be able to meet with vendors to plan and prepare equipment ordering needs for the next school year.

The cost for this item is included in the CMI 2016-17 operating budget.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the out-of-state conference request for Rashiid Burgo to attend the California State Athletic Director's Association’s 49th Annual State Conference in Sparks, Nevada, April 19-21, 2017.
