Summary:

Perris High School’s JROTC’s instructor, Major Jaime Longoria, has submitted a request to have cadets participate in the Leadership Training Camp that will be held at Lake Perris Recreation Area, in Perris, California, on October 28-29, 2017.
The purpose of this annual encampment is to give high school JROTC students the opportunity to master outdoor skills and to learn leadership in small groups, as well as curriculum-related training that will qualify cadets for the camp ribbon/awards.
This two-day training will enable cadets to improve communication skills and practice the tools they have learned during classroom instruction that include map reading, leadership training, survival skills, first aid, teamwork, and physical fitness. This encampment will provide students with an opportunity to practice and enhance their skills.
Approximately 50-100 cadets from Perris High School will be participating in this camping experience at Lake Perris, along with five-ten adult chaperones, to ensure an adult:student ratio of 1:10.
Lodging/camp fees and meals will be provided by the JROTC Associated Student Body.
