Summary:
|
On October 22, 2019, the District and the California School Employee Association reached a Tentative Agreement (TA). Subsequently, the Agreement was ratified by CSEA on December 2, 2019. In addition to adding the contractual language regarding the salary increase approved by the Board this past December, this Agreement provides updates to language on Association Membership, clarifies the use of release time for Union Business, establishes a more equitable practice when assigning extra work during recess periods, adjusts the language for Bereavement Leave to be consistent with other units, provides an update to language regarding transfers and promotions, and lastly amends the grievance process to contain improved timelines and the addition of mediation as one of the grievance levels.

|
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Tentative Agreement between the Perris Union High School District and the California Employees Association, and it’s Chapter Perris Valley 469 regarding the 2019-20 Reopener Negotiations.
