CMI and CMITA Tentative Agreement 17-18 signed 05.1.2017.pdf
Summary: On May 1, 2017, the California Military Institute Charter School and the California Military Institute Teachers Association (CMITA) reached a Tentative Agreement (TA). Subsequently, the TA was ratified by CMITA on May 5, 2017.

Article VII was modified to include the Military Science Instructor position which was approved by the Board in October 2015. The salary schedule for this position was also added to the contract with the TA. Article VII was modified to clarify the length of the work day as requested by CMITA. CMITA opened Article XII (Layoffs) but agreed to table this topic until contract negotiations for the full contract begin. The TA solidifies this Agreement as well as beginning negotiations for the full contract in September 2017. Lastly, for the 2017-18 school year only, the TA includes language to allow any unit member who has signed a statement of intent to resign their position by giving 30 days notice to the charter school.
