Summary: The District wishes to enter into a Multi-Year Operational Agreement with the Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center (RARCC). The District and RARCC intend to work together toward the mutual goal of providing quality violence prevention programming to students, parents, and faculty.

The RARCC will provide the following presentations upon request of the District:

1) Child Abuse Prevention
2) Sexual Harassment Prevention
3) Teen Dating Violence Prevention
4) Rape Prevention Education
5) Mandated Reporter Training
6) Kid Power Self-Defense Workshop
7) Women2Women Self-Defense Workshop

The RARCC will also be available to train and provide support services to staff members or volunteers to lead the BeStrong and/or MyStrength Curriculums.

All presentations are age-appropriate and can be tailored to the needs of each school. RARCC staff members are available to meet with the District to preview materials/handouts and adjust the presentation information as appropriate.

The District and RARCC would agree to work collaboratively to discuss common issues, clarify working relationships, and identify any other specific service coordination activities that could offer increased benefits.

This Agreement will be effective from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021.

Education Codes 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
Funding: There is no fiscal impact for this item.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Multi-Year Operational Agreement with the Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center for Violence Prevention Programming Services.
