Summary:
|
The Nutrition Services Department along with the Murrieta Valley Unified School District requested bids for the purchase of frozen, refrigerated and dry foods for the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program for the 2018-19 school year. The bid closed on April 12, 2018 and was awarded to Gold Star Foods, the sole responsive and responsible bidder, at the Murrieta Valley Unified School District Board meeting on May 24, 2018.
The estimated cost for the 2018-19 school year is $1,265,000 based on the estimated quantities for the prices listed on the bid.
The contract may be renewed annually upon mutual consent for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods for a maximum of three (3) years, in accordance with Education Code Section 81644.
This contract was bid and is being recommended for award pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.
