Summary:
|
The District would like to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools (RCSS) for instructional services through the community school and court school program. The MOU between RCSS and the District requires implementation of a consistent and equitable process for granting partial credit for all students, including students in foster care. RCSS and the District agree to coordinate partial credit for students who transfer between county office programs and the District's educational settings. The District will accept credit full or partial coursework satisfactory completed by a pupil while attending a public school, juvenile court school, or nonpublic, nonsectarian school or agency.
The term of the Agreement is from January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
This Agreement is being taken to the Board as a ratification to allow for the program to take place at the start of the second semester.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.
