Summary:
|
The Maintenance Department used informal bidding procedures for the roofing project at the Bus Barn. Public Contract Code section 22032 permits Districts that have elected to become subject to the Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Procedures to procure contracts expected to cost more than $60,000 but less than $200,000, through an informal bidding procedure. The District reasonably expected the cost of the Project would exceed $60,000 but would be less than $200,000, and therefore in July 2019 issued an informal bid and the form of notice as required by the District's informal bidding ordinance contained within Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 3311.1, and Public Contract Code section 22034. The bid opening was held on Monday, July 29, 2019. The bid award is recommended as follows:

The District requests the contract be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Universal Coatings, Incorporated.
