Summary:

Nutrition Services is requesting authorization to piggyback off of the San Gabriel Valley Food Services Cooperative Purchasing Group Contract #1173-15/16 as awarded to Gold Star Foods Incorporated for frozen and refrigerated foods. Due to recent food shortages with our current food distributor, Nutrition Services has determined that it is in the best interest of the District to utilize the piggybackable agreement with Gold Star Foods Incorporated for the remainder of the 2016-17 school year.
Legal reference for piggybackable bidding is Public Contract Code 20118.
