Summary:
|
The District and the California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) would like to amend the existing Supervised Field Placements Agreement by extending the term for a period of two (2) additional years. Due to the upcoming transition of CSUSB academic year from a quarter-based to semester-based system projected for Fall Semester 2020, and impending changes to and reorganization of existing programs, CSUSB would like to take the opportunity, as they approach this transition, to update all of our student fieldwork and placement agreements at one time.
The term of this Amendment will be from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020.
Pursuant to California Education Code 44320(b) a school district governing board is authorized to enter into an agreement with a state university or any university or college accredited by the State Board of Education as a teacher education institution, in order to provide teaching experience through student teaching to students enrolled in teacher training curricula.

The budget will be adjusted to reflect this revenue.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Amendment No. 1 to the Supervised Field Placement Agreement with California State University San Bernardino.
