Summary:
|
On December 18, 2018 the District issued a formal Notice Inviting Bids for the construction of the Liberty High School Project. The bid openings were held on two seperate dates, January 22, 2019 and January 29, 2019. The project has been divided into thirty-three (33) categories of construction which will be awarded as the bids are reviewed and vetted to ensure the bids are responsive and conform to all applicable bid documents. At this time the District is recommending the ratification of Category 1, Earthwork Agreement that was awarded to Crew, Inc.. Notice to Proceed was given in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this contract award is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.
The bid award is recommended as follows:

This contract was bid and awarded pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111, which provides that the Governing Board shall let any contract for a public project, as defined in subdivision(c) of Section 22002, involving an expenditure of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) or more, to the lowest responsible bidder. A copy of the entire Bid Package is available in the Business Services Division for review.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment, and services.

The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
