Summary:
|
The Upward Bound Classic Program is a federally-funded program that the University of Riverside (UCR) has been providing free of charge to students at Perris High School. The Upward Bound Classic Program is currently in mid-cycle of the grant which means that they have been working with our students for several years. The reason for the new agreement is due to the fact that UCR has a new director and Perris High School has a new principal (from when the original agreement was signed). According to UCR policy, the proper procedure for providing services to any school is to have UCR and the district enter into an agreement allowing UCR to continue to work with our students.
The term of this Agreement shall be from September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2022.
This Agreement is being taken as a ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement from the Regents of the University of California.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
