Summary: Administration is recommending a restructuring of administrative positions effective July 1, 2017 as follows:

1) Director of Special Education from a Director II salary placement to a Director I salary placement;

2) Director of Risk Management and Environmental Safety from a Director III salary placement to a Director II salary placement;

3) Coordinator of Educational Services (currently 2 positions in this classification) to Director of Learning Support Services to a Director II salary placement;

4) Program Specialist from 223 to 203 workdays;

5) Student Information Systems Supervisor to Student Information Systems Coordinator;

6) Maintenance & Operations Supervisor to Assistant Director of Maintenance & Operations;

7) Assistant Superintendent of Business Services to Deputy Superintendent of Business Services.

The existing job descriptions for Director of Special Education, Director of Risk Management and Environmental Safety and Director of Learning Support Services will be updated to reflect the change in salary placement.

New job descriptions for Student Information Systems Coordinator, Assistant Director of Maintenance & Operations and Deputy Superintendent are attached.

A revised contract for the Deputy Superintendent will be brought forward to the Board for approval at the June Board meeting.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2017-18 operating budget
