Summary:
|
The District would like to retain the services of Cherished Memories for a one-year renewal term from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. The Board approved the initial year of the contract at the Board Meeting on June 17, 2015.
Over the last two years, Cherished Memories has successfully provided photography and identification card (ID) services at all sites in the District, including the California Military Institute. The students and school sites have been extremely happy with the quality of the product and services that Cherished Memories has provided.
The cost for this item is paid by students purchasing photography packages at each participating school site. The ID cards are provided free of charge to all sites and there is no cost to the District as long as the sites do not exceed their annual allotment. If the site does exceed their annual allotment, the cards can be purchased by the site at a cost of $1 per card.
The initial term of the original Agreement was from May 21, 2015 to June 30, 2016. The Agreement included up to four (4) additional one (1) year terms in accordance with Education Code 17596. This term from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 will be the second of the (4) additional one (1) year terms.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.

Funding:

The cost for this item is paid by students at each participating school site unless the sites go over their ID card allotment, in which case the cost will be funded through the General Fund or the Charter School.
