Summary:
|
Joseph Alo, instructor, has submitted a request to have California Military Institute (CMI) cadets participate in the New Cadet Orientation Bivouac that will be held at CMI on July 23-26, 2017.
This orientation is for incoming cadets to learn the policies and procedures of the California Cadet Corps and CMI, to include the military lifestyle at CMI. New cadets are required to experience and enhance these military skills in an overnight, outdoor military environment.
New cadets will experience drill and ceremonies, uniform inspections, basic military knowledge and team building activities.
Cadet instructors and staff will arrive on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. for "Train-the-Trainer" classes in preparation of the New Cadet Orientation. There is no cost for the new cadets to participate in the orientation as CMI is funding the event.
It is anticipated that approximately 50 cadets will participate in the New Cadet Orientation, with a minimum of five adults chaperoning.
