Summary:

The California Military Institute (CMI) has received an application from the CMI African American Parent Advisory Council (AAPAC) Booster Club seeking approval to operate as a school connected organization under Perris Union High School District (PUHSD) Board Policy 1230. The Charter has received all the of the documents required within PUHSD’s Booster Club Operating Manual, including proof of non-profit status, bylaws, certificate of insurance, bank account information, names and contact information for its current officers, as well as signed documentation that all officers have received and will abide by the operating manual.
The purpose of this Booster Club is to assist African American students with identifying challenges that impede achievement while empowering, supporting, and serving students, parents and the community. A specific goal set for this school year is to fundraise and accept donations to support an out of the country educational and cultural experience in April, 2020.
District and Charter administration are recommending approval of this booster club through June 30, 2020. Upon successful completion of the 2019-20 school year, the CMI AAPAC would then submit a renewal application.
