Summary: The District's Educational Services Department has made recommendations for updates in our district-wide course catalog. At this time we are submitting a new math course that we feel will be beneficial to our students.

The Math Applications in Robotics is a new math course that meets the A-G Requirement for the College Board.

Math Applications in Robotics emphasizes hands-on robotics activities with a concentration on mathematical modeling and computer programming for solving problems in math and science. As term projects, students prepare to participate in regional and statewide challenge competitions, which will enhance their learning of robotics, math, and engineering, but also allow them to explore their creativity in writing, art, design, video editing and film production.

Students enrolled in Math Applications in Robotics will have had to complete Algebra I and be currently enrolled in Geometry or a math equivalent. This course was written for grades ten through twelve.

The Math Applications in Robotics course has been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
