CTE Carpentry II - Adv. Residential and Commercial Const..pdf
Summary: The District's Educational Services Department has made recommendations for updates in our district-wide course catalog. When an additional course is added to a pathway we want to give our students every opportunity to complete that pathway. At this time we are submitting an additional course to the Building and Construction Trades Sector.

The Carpentry II, Advanced Residential and Commercial Construction course provides advanced training in carpentry while also preparing high school students for direct-entry to the apprenticeship program. Course content is based on the Career Connections curriculum provided by The Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC). Subjects associated with this course and training include industry math, carpentry tools, jobsite safety, and career exploration. This course was written for grades ten through twelve and is the Capstone class for the Residential and Commercial Construction Pathway.

The above courses have been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
