Summary:
|
Mr. Joe Ellett, Paloma Valley High School (PVHS) teacher and coach, has submitted a request for Paloma Valley High School’s Cross Country teams to attend an overnight summer camp in Mammoth Lakes, California, July 22-26, 2018.
The camp will be attended by approximately 40 athletes along with five chaperones. Each athlete will have been cleared for athletic participation by their physician, have a signed permission slip, and a Release of Liability form. Coaches will travel with emergency contact information, insurance, and medical clearance forms for each player at all times.
Athletes will be transported using the District vans. All drivers have District clearance. The cost of the camp is $250 per athlete. This covers all food, transportation, lodging, and fees.
The group will be staying in four or five townhomes at the Lake View Villas. Coaches and parents attend as volunteers and will each chaperone a cabin and drive a van. The cost of their food and accommodations is included in the cost of camp to the student/athlete. The students are raising money via various fundraisers. All costs will be paid for through the Associated Student Body Cross Country Club account.
