Summary: The Purchasing Department used formal bidding procedures for the 515 East 7th Street Renovation Project. The bid opening was held on February 7, 2018. Responsive Bids were submitted as follows:

Leonida Builders, Incorporated / $210,000
General Consolidated Constructors, Incorporated / $298,000
IVL Contractors, Incorporated / $348,000

Notice to Proceed was given in order to meet critical project timeline and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this contract award is permitted for the Board approved Facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.

The Contract was bid and is being recommended for award pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2017-18 operating budget funded through One-Time Funds.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of trustees award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Greer’s Contracting & Concrete, Incorporated, for the renovation of the Pathway for Adult Life Skills Facility.
