Jodhi Gahre, teacher at Paloma Valley High School, has submitted a new Career Technical Education course, CTE Advanced Retail Operations. This is a semester long course open for 11th and 12th grade students and meets A-G requirements.
The CTE Advanced Retail Operations is a one-year standard-aligned course that explores professional sales concepts in depth. Students will learn to access and use marketing information to enhance sales activities and opportunities and complete a strategic plan that includes establishing individual and company sales goals to guide the activities of the sales staff. This is an advanced class; it is designed to serve as a concentrator or capstone course for any of the pathways in the Marketing, Sales, And Service Sector, or the Fashion Merchandising pathway, and intended primarily for the junior or senior year of high school.
The CTE Advanced Retail Operations course has been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. This is a pre-approved course by the Riverside County Office of Education and only requires one reading by our Board of Trustees.
