Summary:
|
The District Nutrition Services Department has identified that a potential funding shortfall is present in the upcoming years. In order to partly address that shortfall it has been determined that both of the positions of Field Supervisor must be subject to a layoff. One of the positions will be completely eliminated while the other will be reduced from two-hundred forty-five (245) workdays to two-hundred twenty (220) workdays. In both cases the District is required to provide a Notice of Layoff to the affected classified management employees pursuant to the requirements of the law. Approval of this item will allow the District to provide a sixty (60) day notice, pursuant to Education Code Sections 45298 and 45308, to all classified management employees that may be affected by the reduction/elimination of such positions, and inform all affected employees.
