Summary:
|
Paloma Valley High School’s Achievement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator, Beatriz O’Connell, is in the process of planning AVID's Annual Northern California College Trip for its junior members. The students will be visiting 11 college campuses over the four day trip. The list of campuses programmed to attend are as follows:
Day #1: CSU Fresno, UC Merced, CSU Stanislaus
Day #2: CSU Sacramento, UC Davis, UC Berkeley
Day #3: CSU East Bay, San Francisco State University, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University
Day #4: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Fifty students and five adults will be transported by a charter bus, which will be paid by the site Associated Student Body (ASB) AVID funds and fundraising. Students will be fundraising to cover the cost for their lodging and food. The cost to attend this trip will be $200 per person. The estimated cost including transportation will be approximately $18,000.

The cost for this item is included in the 2018-19 operating budget funded through Paloma Valley High School's ASB/AVID Fund and Student Funds.
