Summary:

Mr. Chris Maddalena, Heritage High School Agriculture teacher and Future Farmers of America (FFA) advisor, has requested approval to attend the American Poultry Association National Convention's National Poultry Show in Shawnee, Oklahoma, November 16-18, 2018.
This opportunity will allow Mr. Maddalena to interact with breeders and companies, assess new breeds of poultry, review old breeds of poultry, interact with vendors and judges, develop contacts, and possibly purchase breeding stock for Heritage High School.
Mr. Maddalena aims to network and educate himself with new American Poultry Association (APA) Certification Programs, discuss the possibility of being a West Coast satellite farm (FFA) for Good Shepherd Ranch, update knowledge on APA breeds, assess the expansion of the production Egg Ranch Program using Heritage High School's breed of chickens.
The cost for Mr. Maddalena to attend the 2018 American Poultry Association National Convention in Shawnee, Oklahoma is $1,350. Mr. Maddalena’s expenses will be covered by the Perkins Grant fund.
