Summary:

Education law never ceases to change and grow which necessitates that school districts update policies and regulations as well as add/delete/change policies and regulations to meet the mandates of the law. The reasons for their inclusion in the district policy manual are summarized in the attached justification document.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees receive for review and consideration, as part of the first reading: BP 6146.1 - High School Graduation Requirements; BP/AR/E 6146.4 – Differential Graduation and Competency Standards for Students with Disabilities (BP revised, AR and E deleted); BP 6162.5 - Student Assessment; BP/AR 6171 - Title I Programs; and the deletion of BP/AR/E 6162.52 - High School Exit Examination.
