PUHSD -City of Perris Amendment No. 2 Joint Use.pdf
Summary: The District and the City of Perris entered into a Joint Facility Use Agreement dated October 15, 2014, for the planning, use, operation and/or maintenance of specified public facilities throughout the City of Perris. Amendment No. 1, effective September 13, 2016, was approved to allow CMI the ability to utilize the Bob Glass Gymnasium and the City to utilize the Perris High School Gymnasium, each at no cost to the District or the City. Under this Amendment No. 1, if there was any cost to the District for the City use of the Perris High School Gymnasium, they would be covered by CMI which was significantly less than what CMI was paying the City under their current rate structure.

The City desires to also use the Pinacate Middle School Gymnasium since the hours they use the Perris High School Gymnasium are less than what CMI uses the Bob Glass Gymnasium. Amendment No. 2 would allow this use by the City, but only during the regular operating hours of Pinacate Middle School. If the City should use the Pinacate Middle School gymnasium outside of regular operating hours, the City would pay all costs in accordance with the previously approved Agreement.

This Amendment is being brought forward as a ratification so that the City could begin utilizing the Pinacate Middle School gymnasium effective January 1, 2017 to accommodate their youth sports program.
Funding: There is no fiscal impact to this item. The budget will be adjusted to reflect revenue.
