Summary:
|
At the February 20, 2019 Board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the Associated Student Body (ASB) of Paloma Valley High School’s (PVHS) request to purchase 450 Grad Nite tickets from Disneyland. Due to overwhelming demand, sales exceeded the number of tickets requested by 150 students. Unfortunately, Disneyland is unable to accommodate the 150 additional tickets for the remaining PVHS seniors to attend. The PVHS ASB would like to provide these students an alternate Grad Nite activity at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Grad Bash on May 17, 2019.
The total cost of the event, with an estimated attendance of 150 students at $85 per ticket, is not expected to exceed $12,750. This Grad Bash event is paid for directly by the ASB, funded by ticket sales to seniors attending the event. Seniors attending the event will be required to complete all necessary forms and provide written parental consent.
Education Code 48930 is the legal reference for the Associated Student Body contracts.
