Summary: The California Military Institute would like the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council, in partnership with Riverside and San Bernardino County School Districts, charitable foundations, corporations and local community leaders, to provide the Classroom to Career - Developing Tomorrow’s Female Leaders Today Program to address the issues that affect women and girls today that include the “skills” gap, the gender wage gap, and the under-representation of women in STEM/STEAM careers. This Initiative was developed to help girls become better prepared for the challenges of the 21st Century workplace. The program features site visits, hands-on experiences, and interactions with female STEM professionals. This program is provided through a generous grant and funding partners of the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council.

Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
Funding: There is no fiscal impact.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council to provide Classroom to Career - Developing Tomorrow’s Female Leaders Today program.
