Summary: The Purchasing Department used formal bidding procedures for the Paloma Valley High School Auto Shop Conversion Project. Responsive Bids were submitted as follows:

CONTRACTOR / BASE BID
Leonida Builders / $635,000
RVH Contractors, Incorporated / $847,000

The Contract was bid and is being recommended for award pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.

The ratification of the Contract Agreement with Leonida Builders is necessary in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this Agreement is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 operating budgets funded through the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant, Perkins Grant, and the Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Construction Services Agreement with Leonida Builders for the Paloma Valley High School Auto Shop Conversion Project.
