Summary:
|
The Purchasing Department used formal bidding procedures for the Perris High School Improvements, Phase 2B Steel Project. This project involves the production and installation of structural steel components that make up the fume hood supports in the kitchen areas of the Phase 2B Project. Responsive Bids were submitted as follows:

Columbia Steel, Incorporated / $123,774
Anderson Charnesky Structural Steel, Incorporated / $136,000
The Contract was bid and is being recommended for award pursuant to Public Contract Code 20111.
The ratification of the Agreement with Columbia Steel, Incorporated dba is necessary in order to meet critical project timelines and negate undue delay of the project. Ratification of this Agreement is permitted for Board approved facilities projects pursuant to Purchasing Policy.
Education Codes 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
