Summary:
|
Perris High School is requesting permission to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards in Crestline, California, April 17-19, 2020. This is an overnight field trip of two (2) nights. There are approximately five (5) students and at least one (1) adult as chaperone participating in the trip.
The RYLA is a three-day Leadership Conference that is a reward for outstanding youth to further develop their leadership skills. Approximately 900 High School Juniors selected from all public and private high schools within District 5330 (San Bernardino & Riverside Counties) will attend along with ninety (90) Rotarians and additional camp staff. High School Juniors are selected on the basis of leadership potential, personal values, intelligence, and potential for future success.

The cost for this item is included in the 2019-20 operating budget funded through Perris High School Title I Funds, not the General Fund.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for Perris High School's rotary students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Association Awards in Crestline, California, April 17-19, 2020.
