Summary:
|
At its study session on July 25, 2017, the Board of Trustees determined it would like to study the feasibility of a local general obligation bond measure and retain the services of TBWB Strategies. TBWB is the school bond campaign consultant firm that was used to study the feasibility for the Measure T bond measure in 2012. TBWB will assist the District in determining the feasibility of a bond measure, developing a measure for the ballot and implementing a public outreach and communications program as needed. The cost for these services will be $6,000 a month until such time the Board takes action to adopt a resolution calling for a bond measure election. The agreement can be terminated earlier if, as a result of the feasibility analysis, the Board determines not to pursue a local school bond.
Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2017-18 operating budgets funded through the Capital Facilities Fund, Fund 25, proceeds from CFDs 91-1 and 92-1, and the General Fund, Fund 03.
