Summary:
|
The District entered into an Amended/Restated Mitigation Agreement with the Global Investment Pool, LLC (La Ventana Development Project) on June 3, 2019. Since that date the developer has been diligently processing plans through the Eastern Municipal Water District and the County of Riverside for the 511 unit residential development project adjacent to the District’s Liberty High School Project. Through the course of seeking these plan approvals, the developer has experienced a plan processing delay that has caused them to expect a one (1) month delay in meeting the timeline requirements to complete the infrastructure improvements for Liberty High School as detailed within the June 3, 2019 Mitigation Agreement. The attached “First Amendment” requests that the developer be provided a one (1) month extension in order to provide the District with the required infrastructure improvements. Staff has reviewed this request with the Liberty High School construction team and has been assured that this one (1) month delay can be accommodated within the project schedule and will not impact the opening date for the school for the 2021-22 school year. Additionally, the “First Amendment” has been reviewed and approved by the District's legal counsel.
