2018-19 Contract - MSJC Counseling Affiliation Agreement.pdf
Summary: The District (PUHSD) would like to enter into a Counseling Affiliation Agreement with the Mt. San Jacinto Community College District (MSJCCD) for college counseling services during the 2018-19 school year. The purpose of the MSJCCD-PUHSD Joint Agreement is for MSJCCD counselors to provide a college and career ready outreach campaign that targets high school students. It is an early intervention effort, provided by MSJCCD counselors, that intentionally exposes high school students to a multitude of student success strategies prior to their transition to college.

The term of the agreement shall be from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

This Agreement is being taken to the Board as a ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from the Mt. San Jacinto Community College District.

Education Codes 48800-48802: The governing board may authorize educational enrichment opportunities for eligible students to ensure a smoother transition from high school to college through enrollment as special part-time or full-time students in community college level courses.
Funding: There is no fiscal impact to this item.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify the Counseling Affiliation Agreement with Mt. San Jacinto Community College District for college counseling services.
