Summary: The Perris Union High School District and Riverside County Office of Education wish to enter into a Multi-Year Memorandum of Understanding California Classified to Classroom-Pipeline to teaching program. This grant program provides participants with tuition reimbursement for 5-years while completing college coursework towards obtaining a teaching credential. Additionally, the program provides participants with a mentor teacher to help support them as they complete coursework. The district has been allocated 15 slots for classified employees to participate in the program.

The term of this Agreement shall be from January 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021.

This Agreement is being taken as a ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement from the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.

Education Code 17604 and 17605: The Governing Board delegates the power to contract and purchase supplies, equipment and services.
Funding: The budget will be adjusted to reflect this revenue.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify the multi-year Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for Participation in the California Classified to Classroom Pipeline to Teaching Grant Program.
