Summary:
|
In order to maintain parity among all employee groups, administration is recommending the Classified salary schedule be increased consistent with the Tentative Agreements recently reached between the District and the Perris Secondary Educators Association (PSEA).
The Agreement provides for an ongoing salary schedule increase of 2 percent retroactive to July 1, 2018 and a one-time off-schedule payment equal to one and one-fourth percent (1.25 percent) of the 2018-19 salary. The off-schedule payment shall be paid in two (2) equal installments, the first no later than February 2019 and the second in June 2019. The Agreements also include a second on schedule increase of 2 percent effective July 1, 2019 and a third on schedule 2 percent increase effective July 1, 2020.
Pursuant to Section 10.2 Salary Increase of the Classified Employee Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the District shall adjust the percentage salary increase contained in the CBA so that they are equal to the percentage salary increase granted to unit members in the other bargain unit. However, according to this same section of the CBA, the salary increase shall not be retroactive. This Agreement ensures that all unit members shall receive the retroactive salary increases similar to increases granted to unit members in the other bargaining unit.
